"Music exists for the purpose of growing an admirable heart."
Shinichi Suzuki
ACADEMY VISION
To develop within each student a sense of respect and appreciation for the history, culture, and people of Middle Tennessee
To develop in each student leadership, team work, selflessness, kindness, confidence, sensitivity, self control, responsibility, and an insatiable artistic curiosity
To develop students to be prepared and be eager to teach themselves and in turn teach others
To create a community of teachers, staff, parents, and students that will support all members as well as serve the Middle Tennessee community
THE SUZUKI PHILOSOPHY
Dr. Shinichi Suzuki believed that by introducing music to children at a young age, they can develop the tools to become loving human beings. Through the study of classical music in lessons, working with peers in a group class setting, and with consistent mentorship and encouragement from teachers and parents, students will grow to become inspiring artists as well as confident, responsible adults.
As a program, we are committed to developing the highest quality of music education for students in the Middle Tennessee area. TAPA is heavily inspired by the revolutionary philosophy of Dr. Shinichi Suzuki.
PROGRAM & COMMUNITY
TAPA is filled with families who have called Middle Tennessee their home for generations. It is our daily mission to develop students who respect the heritage and cultural distinctiveness of Franklin, Spring Hill, Brentwood, and Nashville. Through the rigorous study and performance of music, students will learn to serve the community they have grown to love and appreciate.
